Shane Griffis

Shane Griffis owns and operates Shane Griffis Agency, proudly serving the Port St. Lucie area and the surrounding Treasure Coast community, with the ability to assist residents throughout all of Florida. With over 30 years of experience in all aspects of insurance, Shane brings deep knowledge and a dedication to educating consumers about the coverage and protection they need.

A 5th generation Floridian, Shane grew up in Central Florida. He graduated from the University of Florida with a double major in Marketing and Finance and later earned an MBA in Business Administration. Shane began his insurance career in the early ’90s as a Life Insurance agent and was a Member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) for his first three years of his career — a prestigious honor given to the top professionals in the insurance industry.

As his career progressed, Shane established his own insurance agencies in Central Florida, which he sold in 1996. Several years later, Shane transitioned to the corporate side of the insurance business, moving to Delray in 1998 to join a national motor club. As National Sales Manager in the Business Development department, he helped grow the company from $80 million in annual sales to more than $1.5 billion over 21 years.

Shane retired in 2021 and opened the Shane Griffis Agency in Port St. Lucie. Initially a Farmers Insurance agent, Shane transitioned the agency to an independent one at the end of 2023 when Farmers Insurance left Florida.

Now, as the founder of Shane Griffis Agency, Shane focuses on working with both individual and business clients. He and his team are committed to educating clients and providing exceptional service.

When he’s not working or volunteering in the community, Shane enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, supporting other local small businesses, attending Florida Gator football games, going to country concerts, reading, and, of course, hanging out with his dog, Orzo.
